NATIVE CARIBBEAN SCENTS

Light It Up. Let It Go.

The Story

They burned Mr. Harding because they couldn’t burn the plantation.
Because they couldn’t burn the system.
So they built a man out of cane trash—dressed him in a coat and top hat—and set him on fire.

This was Barbados after the cane crop.
The work dried up. The wages disappeared. And the people named the struggle: Mr. Harding.

But Bajans don’t fold under pressure. They make rituals out of resistance.
Burning him was more than symbolism—it was relief. Release.
A flame lit for hope when the future felt uncertain.

This scent is that release.

The Scent

🕯️ Warm cardamom wraps you in reassurance.
🕯️ Plum adds a quiet sweetness—soft, smooth, grounding.
🕯️ Amber radiates gentle warmth, like the feeling of worry leaving your body.

Not smoky. Not sharp.
It doesn’t come to fight. It comes to coax the tension out of your chest and remind you: you’re held, you’re safe, you can exhale now.

What It’s For

✔ When the world feels heavy but you still have to keep going.
✔ When you’re holding more than you should.
✔ When peace isn’t optional—it’s necessary.
